Background Papers
The TLRI reviewed its contribution to building knowledge about teaching and learning by undertaking three reviews from 2010 to 2012. One examined work completed in the early childhood sector (2010), one in the tertiary (2011) and the final one in the school sector (2012). While they are sector specific all three provide insights that will be helpful to project teams regardless of their proposed area of study.
School Sector review 2012
In 2012 Mary Hill from the University of Auckland and Bronwen Cowie from the University of Waikato carried out a review of the TLRI projects in the school sector. A symposium was held to discuss the paper and where the next gaps and priorities lie. Two brief papers were written in response to the review from Rose Hipkins (NZCER) and Susan Sandretto, (University of Otago) and were also presented at the symposium. A summary from that day is also available.
